Planting Seeds

As we inch closer and closer to April, it is really starting to feel like spring around the Sweet Pea home. This weekend we planted seeds for our early spring vegetables...beets and, appropriately, sweet peas.

R and G love getting into the dirt:

And I love seeing their excitement about vegetables. Let's hope it translates into some new tastes of beets later this summer.

Our meals this week:
Carolina Pork BBQ, Corn Spoonbread and Texas Coleslaw (recipe later this week)
Corn Chowder
Baked Burritos and Refritos Frijoles
Tofu Stirfry (another new recipe)

What's cookin' on your end? Any good spring recipes to share?

Your boys are so cute. Make sure you post pix of your garden updates. I like a good dose of self-induced jealousy every once in a while.

This weeks menu is mostly treats- atleast that is what I have come up with so far:
Strawberry Chiffon Pie
Snickerdoodle Blondies
Cocoa Ripple Cake
Brown Sugared Bananas and Vanilla Ice Cream

I love that they get so involved!!!!! My son says he is not old enough to eat veggies. Well, something like that. That he can't eat salad until he is older. Terrible.
