A quick sample of this fresh fruit surprised me--they tasted a little bit like a sweet tomato and a bit tropical, almost like mango or pineapple.
I love discovering new healthy foods. I told the boys they were ground cherries, and they couldn't get enough of them. Surely if I had called them tomatoes, they wouldn't have been quite as excited. Again, it's all in the marketing...
Speaking of healthy eating, be sure to check out this recipe for Inside-Out Apple Crisps I posted this morning on FamilyEducation.com.

Lastly, if you missed it, today is the first Monday of my new Meatless Monday challenge. It's included in this week's meal plan:
Baked Penne Pasta, Spinach Salad, Raspberries
Green Curry, Brown Rice, Ground Cherry (tomatoes)
Sloppy Joes, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Fresh Pineapple
Teriyaki Salmon (merely salmon marinated for 20 minutes in Soy-Vay, Greens and Vegetable Egg Drop Soup
Homemade Pita Pizza, Sweet Peas, Clementines
Have a sweet week!

It is sour to taste?
It is tart, but also a wee bit sweet. Sort of like a tart cherry.
