I am the only one who does this sort of thing?

Why oh why did I get lured into buying these tomatoes? Don't I know that I have tomatoes out the ying yang at home?? Darn you Whole Foods and your fancy marketing of these 99 cent organic tomatoes! I got so giddy about the deal I forgot all about the multitude of tomatoes I have at home.

I'm a sucker for a deal,

Things often heard in the SPC household, but never told until now...

"Don't you realize how many children around the world don't get the privilege of canning tomatoes with their Moms? Now help me boil those jars!"

"Care for some sliced tomato on your Cheerios? They are organic!" (sing-song voice)

"Tomato bisque. Tomato juice. Tomato salad. Tomato...facial!"

The girls and I can down a pint while I cook dinner. Just a sprinkle of kosher salt and all three of us are in heaven.

We also like them as a side with cubed fresh mozz, basil and s&p.

For $0.99, I'd be giddy, too!

Hah! I'm a sucker, period!!! I can't wait to make your golden chili. The turkey Italian sausage is packaged along near the fresh chicken breasts right? I guess it's been a while and I haven't seen it.

Zucchini and tomatoes: the foods most often found moldy in my fridge. So much for good intentions!
And those little tomatoes I'll eat by the handful in the garden, but once they're actually in the house they suddenly lose their appeal. Strange.
