Snowy Hot Chocolate

We got a good 5 inches and counting of snow here in Sweet Pea-ville. The boys, daddy (who came home early from work to avoid the heinous rush hour) and I shoveled and played in the snow for a good bit before dinner tonight.

Our Sweet Pea tradition is to always have hot chocolate when we come in from playing in the snow, and since this was our first *real* snow of the season, we did it up right.

Snowy Hot Chocolate

About 6 ounces of milk
3 Hershey Kisses
Sprinkling of coconut (the snow!)

Mix in a mug:

Microwave on 50% power for one minute increments until the chocolate has fully melted. Stir. Sprinkle with shredded coconut and let sit for about 3-4 minutes to let the coconut get nice and soft.

Drink. Ahhh...

Life is sweet,
SPC

I guess that's the way to do it if you don't have any cocoa!! Yum. I never thought about the coconut, just marshmallows :)

THIS is what I was missing last night! We had all the snow, but no cocoa... shoot.

What an easy improvisation! Now if only we could get some snow over here! Hope you guys are enjoying it. (And yes, please DO come over for our next pizza night. ;) )

We made this this morning. It was great. I had bought the Kisses and Coconut to make it on Saturday nt when we had a little school friend of El's here while her parents attended a fundraiser. We ran out of time.
